The public relations program at Mohawk College is a specified one-year program focusing on public relations and communications. This program is a hands-on experience that includes building up writing & communication skills, an internship experience, working with clients, networking, and connections with professionals in the industry.

There are many befits to attending the Public Relations program at mohawk because it specializes in a field of study. This specialization aspect has many benefits while you are enrolled in the course but also has benefits after you leave the program and head into the workforce.

Having a program that specifically specializes in a field of study is very beneficial. Having a specialized PR program can help you get a feel for what a job in this field in-tales while giving you the experience you need to be successful in the field after graduation.

The internship/field placement takes place during the year and has a requirement of 140 hours. Doing this internship gives you real work experience snd builds connections within the industry.
