Meltwater Review

If you want to find the perfect media personnel for your particular story or interview, Meltwater is a great destination.

Meltwater is a media search database network. The company is the world's first online media monitor network. The company origins go back to 2001 as Shack15, based out of Oslo, Norway. Like its current mandate, Shack15 was an online media monitor across Norway, educating their countrymen on the benefits of monitoring and tracking online businesses across the country.

This site has four different modes - Media Intelligence, Social Influencers, Engage, and Audience Insights.

What is incredible about Meltwater is the extensive database in which several of Canada's top journalists use this as their go-to site for contacts.

After login into the site, the home section is immaculate and basic, with simple access to go on the sites. There are three subsections of the site to use in this platform - Analyze, Monitor, and Media Relations.

In Analyze, it tracks media data costumed to your research needs. For Monitor, you can observe the chosen streams in the media landscape. Finally, media Relations is your go-to for finding the specific media personnel - including journalists, editors, reporters, and producers across the country and the globe.

Among the many great features on the site, there is a program for those new to the site and want to know the fundamentals of media monitoring - it is called Meltwater Academy.

Given the current situation in the media industry, Meltwater is an essential tool for research and connecting with the media community.
