Global Public Relations is important - From the perspective of international student

In both Organizational Applications and Program Planning class, I learned from the knowledge related to International Public Relations which has benefited me a lot. And I put some of these strategies into the Integrated Marketing Communications plan. I think studying this major as an international student will be of great help to the future development of the company’s transnational business. Through this period of study, I began to use knowledge about public relations to exploring why some large international companies developed very well in China. However, there are still some companies that cannot make use of their advantages in their original country to make Chinese consumers interested in them. First of all, multinational companies that are widely welcomed by consumers in China have skillfully the business of pr. These companies set up a public relations department specifically for the Chinese market to serve China-related businesses. In addition, the combination of PR and marketing operations promoted the smooth development of the company in China. Their rational use of PR is worth learning from many people. I will list two very good international companies that have made use of international public relations in China.

KFC

The reason for their successful development in China is that it established a public relations department (Public Affairs Department) specifically for China. They specifically design packaging for the Chinese market. And continue to introduce new products that meet the tastes of locals, and promote them on local social media. They are enthusiastic about China's public welfare undertakings and provide a lot of employment opportunities. They also handled the PR crisis in China properly. For example, immediately apologize and respond to related crises. This reflects a good attitude towards consumers and issues. 

Durex
Durex uses accurate publicity channels (have accounts on multiple local social media platforms in China). Vivid brand positioning,  public relations in line with local culture, and issues management handled properly. Durex sells products that involve privacy, and they cleverly conduct marketing while ensuring that they do not violate the local public order in China. Durex also has provided educational programs on AIDS in China and organized charity activities related to AIDS.
